Brandon one day awoke to find himself in a dream....

The Lord is my sheperd; I have everything I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; He leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to His name. Even when I walk through the dark valley of death, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the present of my enimies. You welcome me as a guest, annointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursure me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 23

| "Do not be afraid as you go out to fight today! Do not lose heart or panic. For the LORD your God is going with you! He will fight for you against your enemies, and he will give you victory!" Deuteronomy 20: 3b-4
We're not fighting alone. This world is a fierce enemy, but we are fierce warriors, and we have a fierce God fighting for us, through us, and with us. He will give us victory, and indeed he already has! There are many battles ahead, and we ourselves will not be strong enough, but as the Psalmist says, "Though my health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, God remains the strength of my heart. He is mine forever." He is ours, we are his, and his strength is more than enough to take on this relentless world. This fight is raging on, and it is "necessary that we endure many trials for a time," but soon... soon we will be able to look upon His face, and everything will be more worth it than words can explain. So I urge you, and myself, to keep our eyes ahead, focused on the "glorious destiny" that He leads us to. | | |
